Rt Rev Fonki Stresses Christian Needs at Rev. Pastors' Ordination

Rt Rev Dr Fonki Samuel Forba, PCC Moderator.

The Presbyterian Church in Cameroon witnessed a significant event as Rt Rev Dr. Fonki Samuel Forba ordained eight Reverend Pastors into the clergy.
These newly ordained pastors, including Pastor Akere Jeanise Tanjong, Pastor Anjah Raymond Ashu, Pastor Chu Moses Kum, Pastor Lamago Koutie Philemon, Pastor Mathias Neba Nchitu, Pastor Mbuh Confidence Wendong, and Ngo Maxwell Vemyuy, were approved after a rigorous ordination process.
Drawing inspiration from 1 Timothy 4:13, which stresses the importance of devoting oneself to the reading, preaching, and teaching of Scripture, the ordination ceremony served as a poignant reminder of the sacred duties and responsibilities that
accompany the pastoral role within the church.

Rev. Mbuh Confidence Wendong, assigned to the Bali Gashu parish in the Ndop presbytery, expressed gratitude for the ordination, highlighting its empowering nature in spreading hope to the faithful amidst challenges, particularly the civil unrest in Ndop.
Rev Chu Moses, Mforya Parish, Bafut.

Similarly, Rev. Chu Moses Kum, serving in the Mfoya Parish in the Bafut presbytery, emphasized the need for hope in times of crisis. He has been actively organizing workshops to empower internally displaced persons, aiming to restore hope and provide essential skills for rebuilding shattered lives.
During the ordination ceremony, the congregation was introduced to the incoming leadership, Moderator-Elect Rev. Miki Hans Abia, and Synod Clerk Elect, Ayuk Solomon Eta, set to assume office on January 1, 2025.
As Rt. Rev. Dr. Fonki Samuel prepares to pass on the baton, he reflected on his tenure with humility, remarking, "I was called to lead, and it is now time for me to be led. I shall gladly serve."

to future generations. Rt Rev. Dr. Fonki Samuel encouraged the newly ordained pastors to prioritize the needs of the congregation and urged continued support for the incoming leadership.
