United We Stand: UNVDA GM, Andangfung Eric Urges Political Class to Put Tubah First

In a resounding display of unity and solidarity, Andangfung Eric, General Manager of Upper Nun Valley Development Authority (UNVDA), has rallied politicians and community leaders in Tubah Subdivision to work together towards a common goal of peace and development.

The occasion was a surprise ceremony organized to honour Honourable Agho Oliver Bamenju, Member of Parliament for Bafut-Tubah Constituency, for his exceptional leadership and commitment to his constituents.

The UNVDA boss impassioned plea for unity resonated deeply with the audience, comprising the Fons of Kedjom Ketinguh and Bambui, and the political elite of the subdivision. His words served as a clarion call to action, emphasizing the importance of collective effort in driving development and progress in Tubah.

Adangfung Eric, emphasized the importance of unity especially among the political class, cautioning against the dangers of backstabbing and instead advocating for collaborative efforts to foster peace and development. 

"We should avoid backstabbing one another and work together to move Tubah Subdivision forward," he said.

The ceremony, held at the Tubah District Hospital, was a testament to Honourable Agho Oliver's tireless efforts to improve the lives of his constituents. Ndikum Peter, Secretary General of the CPDM Mezam V Section, praised the MP's dedication to benefiting the majority of the population, while the Fon of Kedjom Ketinguh, HRM Fon Vuyouh Nelson, expressed gratitude for Honourable Agho Oliver's role in putting smiles on the faces of his people.

In a symbolic gesture of appreciation, Honourable Agho Oliver's friends donated vouchers for the Universal Health Coverage to pregnant women and scrubs to the health personnel of the hospital. The MP, in turn, assured the District Medical Officer, Dr Dingana, that he would construct a kitchen for the hospital, further demonstrating his commitment to social welfare.

Honourable Agho Oliver's impressive track record of achievements has earned him recognition as the Most Productive MP in 2024 by the Guardian Post daily newspaper. His initiatives, including donating 2,000 roofing sheets to families affected by conflict, awarding scholarships to orphans and vulnerable children, and providing medical supplies and equipment to local hospitals, have made a tangible impact on the lives of his constituents.

As the Divisional Officer for Tubah, Massango Metougue Narcisse, commended Honourable Agho Oliver's friends for their initiative, he also announced a forthcoming crackdown on illegal medical facilities in the area. This move is expected to further bolster the MP's efforts to improve healthcare delivery in the subdivision.
