A New Era for Sustainable Development in Africa: Hon. Agho Oliver Assumes Leadership Role

In a remarkable turn of events, Hon. Agho Oliver has been elected as the 2nd Vice President of the African Regional Forum on Sustainable Development (ARFSD) during its 11th session held in Uganda. This crucial forum, taking place from April 6-11 at the Commonwealth Convention Centre in Munyono, unites leaders and experts committed to the urgent issues of sustainable development and economic growth across the continent.

Oliver's election is particularly significant for Cameroon and the Central African region, marking a historic moment as they embrace this leadership position for the first time. The event was graced by influential figures, including Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni and Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa, emphasizing the importance of this leadership transition.

Agho Oliver, a passionate advocate for accountability and good governance, is one of the youngest members of Cameroon’s Parliament. His extensive advocacy work has focused on addressing the pressing challenges of debt and development faced by African nations.
