Labour Day Message: Barr. Akere Muna Prescribes Dignity, Solidarity and Justice for All

Barrister Akere Muna, 2025 Presidential Candidate.

Yaoundé, May 1, 2025 - As Cameroon celebrates Labour Day, Barrister Akere Tabeng Muna, a renowned anti-corruption campaigner and 2025 presidential candidate, has issued a strongly worded message urging Cameroonians to join the fight against corruption.

In his Labour Day message, Muna paid tribute to the workers of Cameroon, acknowledging their tireless efforts to build a stronger nation. However, he also highlighted the challenges that still hold the country back, including unemployment, inequality, and corruption.

"Corruption undermines every worker's effort," Muna said. "It diverts resources meant for schools, hospitals, and roads. It strangles small businesses and denies honest workers the rewards they deserve."

Muna pledged to wage an unwavering fight against corruption, demanding transparency in governance and restoring integrity to every level of society. He emphasized that this fight cannot be won by leaders alone, but requires the collective effort of workers, employers, and public servants.

"We must reject shortcuts, hold each other accountable, and take pride in honest labor," Muna urged. "Together, we can build a Cameroon where success is earned through merit, where contracts are won fairly, and where every child knows that hard work - not connections - will determine their future."

Barrister Akere Muna's message is a call to action, urging Cameroonians to recommit to the values of dignity, solidarity, and justice. He emphasized that every worker's contribution is valued and that corruption has no place in a prosperous Cameroon.

As a presidential candidate, Muna's message is also a promise of what his leadership would entail - a commitment to transparency, accountability, and the welfare of all Cameroonians.

With his message, Muna has once again demonstrated his commitment to fighting corruption and promoting good governance in Cameroon.
