The youths in the North West Region have demonstrated their unwavering support for President Paul Biya's 2025 presidential campaign by raising and donating 7 million FCFA to aid his electoral bid.
The funds that were collected from the seven divisions and 34 subdivisions within the region were handed over to the YCPDM National Youth President, Essomba Asse Auguste for upward delivery to the National President, Paul Biya.
During the ceremony, Essomba expressed gratitude to the youths for their support. According to him, the enthusiasm and commitment of the youths to the party is a testament to President Biya's effective leadership. The CPDM national youth leader also praised the youths for their dedication to the development of the region and the country.
Thousands of youths in the North West region gathered at the Bamenda Congress Hall on Saturday, May 9, 2025, during a YCPDM Mega Rally to express their support for President Paul Biya's candidacy in the 2025 presidential election.
The event, organized by the Cameroon People's Democratic Movement (CPDM) youth wing, was attended by prominent party members ranging from the elite class of the North West CPDM, and WCPDM. The youths, carrying placards and banners in support of President Biya, cited the president's numerous development projects in the region as reasons for their support.
According to the declaration presented by Tandong Iris Zoum, Youth Section president of Mezam II Santa, the youths of Mezam Division are committed to supporting President Biya's candidacy and will work to deliver a 100% vote in his favor.
He cited the president's achievements in infrastructure development, healthcare, and education as reasons for their support.
Tandong Iris also emphasized the importance of youth participation in the electoral process and encouraged his peers to work tirelessly to ensure President Biya's victory.
Dr. Bonuh Clement Che, charge' de Mission for the YCPDM in Ngoketunjia and a youth leader, also expressed his division's unwavering support for the president.
He highlighted the president's transformative projects in Ngoketunjia, including the completion of the Ndop-Kumbo stretch of the Ring Road and the tarring of the Ndop-Bambalang-Touristic Site stretch.
Dr. Bonuh Clement Che emphasized that the youths of Ngoketunjia Division are committed to delivering a 100% vote in favor of President Biya.
Senator Regina Mundi Elizabeth, Acting head of the CPDM Central Committee Permanent Regional Delegation for the North West Region, praised the youths for their enthusiasm and commitment to the party. She urged them to translate their words into action and work towards delivering a landslide victory for President Biya in the 2025 presidential election.
The North West CPDM party leader also commended the youths for their dedication to the party's ideals and encouraged them to remain steadfast in their support for President Biya. She emphasized that the party's success depends on the active participation of its youth members and called on them to be proactive in promoting the party's agenda.
