FECAFOOT Suspends Geremi Njitap, Ngos Daniel for Code of Ethics Violations

The Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) has handed down disciplinary measures to two prominent figures in Cameroonian football.

Legendary player Geremi Njitap has been suspended from all football-related activities for 5 years and fined 10 million francs.

The sanctions stem from an incident in Bouaké, Ivory Coast, where Geremi allegedly had a confrontation with FECAFOOT officials while trying to access the dressing room of the Indomitable Lions to celebrate with the players after a match against Gambia.

In a similar tone, Ngos Daniel, Secretary General of SYNAFOC (Cameroon Footballers' Syndicate), has also been sanctioned with a 2-year ban from football activities and a 5 million francs fine. Both men were found guilty of violating FECAFOOT's Code of Ethics.

The duo has been given 10 days to request written justification for the decision. After the deadline, the sanctions will become final.
