Regional College of Agriculture Bambili Graduates 87 Trainees, Director Urges Youth to Seize Opportunities
Eighty-seven young Cameroonians have graduated from the Regional College of Agriculture (RCA) Bambili as certified senior agricultural technicians, specialized in agropastoral entrepreneurship.
The graduation ceremony, which took place on Tuesday, August 20, 2025, was described as a milestone in the country’s drive toward agricultural modernization and food security.
The Director of the institution, Engr. Billa Vitalis Fokwang, praised the graduates for successfully completing two years of intensive training, during which they were equipped with the technical expertise, managerial skills, and entrepreneurial mindset required to meet the challenges of Cameroon’s agricultural sector.
He explained that their curriculum vitae have already been forwarded to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, civil society organizations, and other stakeholders, with confidence that their skills will be put to immediate use.
“We are confident that the techniques and managerial abilities instilled in them will help resolve administrative crises, provide durable solutions to agricultural challenges, and make a meaningful contribution to the country’s GDP,” Engr. Fokwang said. He added that by 2035, these young technicians are expected to be among the farmers and engineers driving Cameroon’s ambition of achieving zero hunger.
The Director also appealed to elites and parents of the North West Region to take full advantage of the opportunities offered by the college, describing it as a prestigious institution placed at the disposal of the people by the state. He emphasized that admission is ongoing for the 2025–2026 academic year and encouraged more young people to seek training in agricultural pastoral entrepreneurship.
To gain admission, applicants are required to undergo a competitive entrance examination organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. The process includes providing a stamped request addressed to the Minister, a certified copy of the candidate’s birth certificate and academic diploma, an attestation of presentation of the original diploma, a medical certificate proving fitness for agropastoral work, two recent passport-size photographs, and proof of payment of the examination fees. Registration is completed online, after which a personalized form is automatically generated for submission.
As the graduates leave the Regional College of Agriculture Bambili to begin their professional journey, hopes are high that their skills will not only support local communities but also help transform Cameroon’s agricultural landscape. The institution, through its training programs, continues to position itself as a cornerstone in shaping the next generation of agricultural leaders and innovators in the country.
