The Regional College of Agriculture (RCA) Bambili has significantly boosted its mobility and service delivery with the official handover of a brand new 35-seater coaster bus from the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Gabriel Mbairobe.

The bus, presented to the institution,’s Director, Engr. Billa Vitalis Fokwang, marks a milestone achievement after years of lobbying and project design efforts. The gesture was first initiated five years ago through the support of Senator Regina Mundi, which also paved the way for the renovation of the college’s 2,000-capacity hall.

Speaking during the ceremony, Engr. Fokwang expressed satisfaction with the acquisition, emphasizing that unlike the 2017 Hilux previously provided, the new bus would directly serve the needs of the student population and facilitate collective mobility rather than individual use.

The presentation brought together elites from the North West region, including the Director General of Customs and other dignitaries, who praised Minister Mbairobe for his continued commitment to strengthening agricultural education in the region.

“This donation is not just about transportation; it is about empowering an institution that trains future leaders in agriculture,” one elite remarked during the event.

The bus was officially handed over on Friday, August 29, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. in a ceremony marked by celebration and appreciation. Out of the seven higher institutions of learning in agriculture in English-speaking Cameroon, RCA Bambili was the only institution to benefit from such a distinction, further underscoring its strategic role in the nation’s agricultural development.
