The Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement (CPDM) has announced the composition of its regional commissions in charge of supervising the investiture of candidates for the regional council elections set for November 30, 2025.
A decision signed on September 9, 2025, by the Secretary-General of the Central Committee and President of the National Commission for Investiture, Jean Nkuété, designates presidents, members, and chargés de mission across all ten regions of the country.
In the Adamawa Region, the commission will be led by Baba Hamadou. In the Centre Region, Mme Etoga Suzanne will preside, while Joseph Le heads the East Region.
For the Far North, the commission will be chaired by National Assembly Speaker Cavaye Yeguie Djibril.
In the Littoral, Justice Minister Laurent Esso has been appointed president.
Other regional commissions will be chaired by Zoutene Doulene Daouda (North), former Prime Minister Philemon Yang (North West), Paul Tchawa (West), Jacques Ndongo (South), and former Prime Minister Peter Mafany Musonge (South West).
The commissions are tasked with ensuring the smooth organization of the party’s investiture process in their respective regions.
The decision further specifies that if a designated member or chargé de mission is unavailable, the regional president of the commission will appoint a replacement and report the adjustment to the National Commission for Investiture.
The investiture process marks a key stage in preparations for the November 30, 2025 elections, during which regional councils will be renewed.
