The Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) has ruled that the Interpools clash between Mintack FC of Haute Sanaga and Kumba City FC will be replayed after the September 11 match was abandoned in the 75th minute following crowd trouble and violence against match officials.
The decision was reached on September 12, 2025, during a session of FECAFOOT’s Homologation and Discipline commission held at the federation’s headquarters in Yaoundé.
The commission, chaired by Nkengni Felix, found that the match could not be validated due to the serious security breach that forced its suspension.
In its ruling, the commission ordered the reprogramming of the match with a fresh set of officials and stipulated that the replay will be played behind closed doors to avoid a repeat of the incident.
Both clubs were notified that they have five days from the date of the decision to request written justification. Failure to do so will make the decision final and binding, in line with Article 82(3) of FECAFOOT’s Disciplinary Code.
The interrupted match, which was part of the fifth round of the 2024/2025 Interpools tournament, was being played at CAF’s Center of Excellence in Mbankomo when spectators invaded the pitch, disrupting play and attacking match officials.
FECAFOOT officials said the ruling aims to preserve the integrity of the competition while sending a strong message against stadium violence. No new date has yet been announced for the rescheduled fixture.
