CPDM supporters in Mezam 1C have pledged their total victory for President Biya in the October 12 election.
The people of CPDM Mezam 1C Section in Nkwen and Ndza have declared their total and unflinching support for President Paul Biya ahead of the October 12 presidential election.
Speaking at a CPDM rally in Upper Bayelle, Nkwen, Section President Che Ndaka Nicolas said it was time for the population to reward President Biya for the numerous development projects in the area.
“We have seen roads tarred, a modern market at Mile 4, the reconstruction of the Mile 4 bridge, and streetlights all over Nkwen,” Che Ndaka told the cheering crowd. “President Biya is the wisest leader in Africa. On Sunday, our weapon is the voter’s card. Let us vote for peace and progress.”
His Majesty Fon Azehfor III of Nkwen described President Biya as a “Fon of Fons” and urged every household to vote massively. “The upgrading of the PMI to a District Hospital, the coming of the Dry Port, and the ongoing construction of our Referral Hospital are proof that Biya cares for Nkwen,” he said. “Let us give him 36,000 votes on October 12.”
Professor Beban Sammy Chumbow, campaign supervisor for Mezam 1C, said the people now understand the importance of standing with the CPDM. “President Biya has done so much even when we didn’t vote for him. This time, we must show gratitude,” he said.
Other speakers, including Fongod Edwin Nuvaga, vice president of the Mezam Divisional Campaign team and Dr. Ndonwie Peter, vice section president and acting president of the Nkwen elites, called for unity and urged all voters to show up early and protect their votes.
As songs and dances filled the air, militants promised a landslide victory for the CPDM. Bamenda III, long considered an opposition stronghold, now says it is time to “join the table of decision-making” by voting for President Paul Biya.
