Nkambe Central was a sea of enthusiasm and determination on Saturday, October 11, 2025, as Honourable Ta Nformi Barrister Ngala Gerard, Member of Parliament and President of the CPDM Communal Campaign Team for Nkambe, wrapped up an intense final phase of the presidential campaign in favor of President Paul Biya.
Since his arrival in Nkambe last Wednesday, Hon. Ngala Gerard has not had a moment’s rest. From Binka to Mabih, Sah, Binjuh, Tabenken, the Muslim community, and Binshua, up to the grand finale in Nkambe town, the dynamic campaigner has led a spirited mobilization drive aimed at securing an overwhelming victory for the CPDM candidate.
“The population of Nkambe is ready,” Hon. Ngala Gerard declared. “We are determined to beat our 2018 record and deliver a resounding and reassuring victory to His Excellency President Paul Biya tomorrow, October 12.”
“We Cannot Turn Our Backs on President Paul Biya”
In his closing message, Hon. Ngala Gerard described Nkambe’s resolve as both patriotic and strategic.
“We have seen the tangible development projects initiated by President Paul Biya,” he said. “The transformation in Nkambe is real, roads, schools, and community infrastructure have changed the face of our division. We cannot turn our backs on him now that progress has started. That would be the worst thing to do.”
The people of Nkambe, he added, are ready to vote massively to renew the President’s mandate “not just as a formality, but with a 100% landslide victory.”
A Two-Front Campaign Strategy
Before storming Nkambe, Hon. Ngala Gerard spent the first week of the campaign in Douala, where he coordinated efforts among Anglophone communities, urging them to remain vigilant and resist the influence of “agents of destruction and chaos.”
His dual role, as coordinator of the Anglophone community in Douala and as Nkambe’s communal campaign president has showcased his versatility and deep commitment to the CPDM’s cause.
“Hon. Ngala Gerard has proven once again that leadership is about action,” said a local CPDM militant in Binshua. “He moves with the people, listens to them, and speaks their language. That is why Nkambe trusts him.”
A United Call for Development and Recognition
Across the localities visited, one recurring plea echoed from the population: that Donga Mantung Division be elevated to a full-fledged region, the Far North West Region to bring government administration closer to the people.
“We believe that by voting massively for President Paul Biya, our aspirations will be heard,” said a community leader in Tabenken. “Our loyalty is total, and our commitment unshakable.”
Nkambe Set for a Resounding CPDM Victory
As the campaign curtains fell under the crisp evening sky, chants of “Paul Biya, notre choix!” and “CPDM forever!” filled the air. The message from Nkambe was loud and unambiguous: a pledge to deliver an overwhelming victory for the ruling party.
“Nkambe has decided,” Hon. Ngala Gerard affirmed. “Tomorrow, we go to the polls to vote massively for stability, for development, and for His Excellency President Paul Biya. Our confidence in him is total, and our victory will be complete.”
