October 12, Polls: Issa Tchiroma Claims Victory, Promises to Release “Verified Polling Station Results”

In a bold post-election statement, Issa Tchiroma Bakary, national president of the National Salvation Front Party of Cameroun (FSNC), has declared himself the winner of Cameroon’s October 12, 2025 presidential election, asserting that his campaign’s internal results point to a decisive victory.

Speaking through an official communiqué addressed to “dear compatriots and friends of Cameroon,” Tchiroma claimed that his team’s data derived from polling station results sheets signed by election officials, demonstrates that the FSNC secured a majority across key electoral strongholds.

“On October 12, 2025, the Cameroonian people expressed themselves at the polls,” Tchiroma said. “To guarantee transparency and prevent any manipulation, our campaign team will release, in the coming hours, electoral trends based on the signed official results sheets (PVs) from polling stations, transmitted by our scrutineers.”

A Focus on 18 Strategic Divisions

According to the FSNC statement, Tchiroma’s team based its calculations on 18 strategic divisions, which together represent nearly 80 percent of Cameroon’s national electorate, approximately 8 million registered voters.

These divisions include: Wouri (Littoral), Mfoundi (Centre), Bénoué (North), Diamaré (Far North), Mayo-Danay, Mayo-Tsanaga, Vina (Adamawa), Logone-et-Chari, Mungo, Noun, Mayo-Louti, Mayo-Kani, Mayo-Sava, Menoua, Mifi, Mayo-Rey, Lom-et-Djérem, and Lékié.

“By winning these 18 divisions, national victory is assured,” Tchiroma argued, “as their electoral weight determines the outcome of the election.”

The FSNC boss insists its methodology is both transparent and verifiable, emphasizing that the data is drawn from “official procès verbals signed at polling stations.” Tchiroma added that his campaign’s figures are being cross-checked with divisional coordinators and central headquarters to ensure accuracy.

A Call for Transparency and Vigilance

Tchiroma also appealed to the international community, election observers, and the Cameroonian public to closely follow the trends his team plans to publish, which he described as “a faithful reflection of the will of the Cameroonian people.”

“Each figure published will be backed with documented proof to avoid any dispute,” the FSNC leader said. “The trends we will publish will not be mere estimates but a faithful reflection of the will of the Cameroonian people. Together, we will defend the truth of the ballot box.”

Awaiting Official Results

As of press time, Cameroon’s Constitutional Council and the national electoral commission (ELECAM) had not yet released official results from the October 12 polls. The election, one of the most closely watched in recent Cameroonian history featured several major candidates and was marked by calls for transparency and reform.

While Tchiroma’s declaration adds a new layer of tension to the post-election atmosphere, analysts caution that only the official results announced by ELECAM carry legal weight. Still, the FSNC’s claims highlight growing disputes over vote counting and transparency in a country where confidence in the electoral process remains fragile.

As the nation awaits the official tallies, Tchiroma’s statement sets the stage for potential political confrontation and a renewed debate over who truly won Cameroon’s 2025 presidential race.
