His Royal Majesty Thomas Kibusi, Fon of Nkanchi Village in Misaje and a senior traditional leader in the North West Region, has expressed profound condolences to the Muslim and Fulani communities of Ndu Sub Division following the killing of more than 12 Fulani civilians, including a two-year-old child.

In a condolence message issued on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, HRM Fon Thomas Kibusi described the incident attributed to separatist fighters as “the height of insanity, wickedness and inhumanity,” calling for its firm condemnation and appropriate punishment.

Speaking in his capacity as a Member of the North West Regional House of Chiefs and Vice President of the Donga Mantung Fons Union, the traditional ruler conveyed the message on behalf of the President General of the Donga Mantung Fons Union.
“I write to express my solidarity, sincere and heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and to the Fulani community of this Sub Division,” the Fon stated, emphasizing unity and compassion at a time of deep grief.

HRM Fon Thomas Kibusi also offered prayers for the victims, asking God Almighty to receive their souls into eternal rest, while urging authorities to intensify efforts to end ongoing violence in the North West and South West Regions.

He called on “the powers that be” to act decisively to halt what he termed “barbarism and insanity,” stressing the urgent need for peace, security, and coexistence.
“Our people must once more find peace and tranquillity,” the statement read, “and live in this beautiful nation as one people, with one destiny and a common future.”

The message has been welcomed by community leaders in Ndu as a strong call for solidarity, accountability, and renewed commitment to peace amid continued insecurity in the region.
