The Cameroonian government has officially confirmed that all pontifical masses to be celebrated by Pope Leo XIV during his upcoming apostolic visit to the country will be freely accessible to the public, with no entry restrictions or ticket requirements.
In a press release issued on Monday, April 13, 2026, in Yaoundé, the Minister of Communication, Rene Emmanuel Sadi, addressed both national and international audiences, with particular emphasis on the Christian faithful. The statement reassured the public that all designated venues for the Holy Father’s celebrations would remain open to everyone wishing to attend.

The government spokesperson noted that the first celebration is scheduled for April 16, 2026, at the Bafut Airport in Bamenda. This will be followed by a second Mass on April 17, 2026, at the esplanade of Japoma Stadium in Douala. The final celebration will occur on April 18 at Air Base 101 in Mvan, located in Yaoundé.
