According to officials, the contractor Edison Fru Ndi, CEO of Dreamland Connect, met the 120-day execution timeline and finalized delivery ahead of schedule after meeting required technical and quality standards. The handover now awaits provisional acceptance procedures.

Health authorities say the installation marks a significant step in reinforcing clinical capacity at the facility, which serves Nkambe and neighbouring communities.

The package includes a wide range of diagnostic, surgical, and emergency tools such as X-ray systems, anaesthesia machines with ventilators, operating theatre equipment, patient monitoring systems, oxygen supply devices, infusion and suction units, and defibrillators.

Additional supplies include stretchers, wheelchairs, examination couches, blood pressure monitors for adults and children, laryngoscopes, nebulizers, and essential trauma and surgical kits.

Medical staff at the Nkambe Regional Hospital Annex say the new equipment will improve the hospital’s ability to manage critical cases locally, particularly in obstetrics, trauma response, surgery, and diagnostics.

They also expect a reduction in medical evacuations to distant regional facilities, easing pressure on families and improving response times for emergencies.
