Nkambe MP donates 30m FCFA Worth Equipment to Regional Hospital Annex during National Day celebrations

A member of Cameroon’s National Assembly, Hon. Barrister Ta Nformi Ngala Gerard Ndombang, has donated 30 million CFA francs worth of medical equipment to the Nkambe Regional Hospital Annex on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, during celebrations marking the country’s 54th National Day in Nkambe Central in the North West Region.

The donation was made shortly after the official march-past at the Nkambe ceremonial ground in Donga Mantung Division, where residents gathered alongside administrative and traditional authorities for the annual May 20 celebrations.

Hon. Ngala Gerard, who represents Nkambe in parliament, handed the equipment to hospital management as part of efforts aimed at supporting healthcare services in the area. According to him, the supplies of medical equipment are intended to boost and keep the hospital annex up to date.

The lawmaker, widely known in the region for his advocacy for peace and community development, said the gesture reflected his commitment to improving living conditions for local residents through practical support to public institutions.

Community members and local observers described the donation as one of the major highlights of this year’s National Day activities in Nkambe, with many welcoming the initiative as a significant contribution to healthcare delivery in the division.

The Nkambe Regional Hospital Annex serves communities across parts of the Donga Mantung Division, an area that has faced social and economic difficulties linked to the ongoing crisis in Cameroon’s North West Region.

Hon. Ngala Gerard has frequently been associated with peace-building initiatives and humanitarian support within the constituency, earning recognition among supporters as one of the prominent political figures in the area.
