NW Customs Chief Steering Exceptional Revolutionary Success in Sector

Chief EPIE JEROME's tenure at the North West Customs Sector has been nothing short of revolutionary. There has been a meteoric rise in revenue collection which has surpassed all previous records. From a modest beginning to a projected breakthrough of over 500 million Fcfa in 2023, his strategic leadership has not only reshaped the sector's financial fortunes but also attracted national recognition. And there have been immense compliments from regional authorities. 
   On the national front, the government's acknowledgment of his efforts has been through the flagship construction project, of the ongoing customs headquarters in Bamenda.

Assuming the role of Chief of Sector in 2020, Chief EPIE JEROME embarked
on a journey marked by remarkable achievements, particularly in the domain
of revenue collection. Upon his arrival in July 2020, annual customs revenue for the entire sector floated at a mere six million (6.000.000) FCFA in fiscal year 2019.
   Undeterred, Chief EPIE JEROME swiftly orchestrated an impressive turnaround, catapulting collections to twenty-seven million (27.000.000) francs by the end of fiscal year 2020.
   The momentum only accelerated from there. In fiscal year 2021, he orchestrated a substantial leap, amassing a total of one hundred and seventy-six million (176.000.000) francs in annual revenue. The subsequent year, 2022, witnessed a threefold increase as collections soared to an impressive Four hundred and thirty-one million (432.000.000) francs, setting a new benchmark for success.
As 2023 drew to a close, Chief EPIE JEROME remained on track to surpass the monumental milestone of five hundred million (500.000.000) francs by December 31st, a feat previously unimaginable.
   This remarkable achievement not only eclipsed past records but also underscores his commitment to excellence in revenue generation.

 The admirable impact of Chief EPIE JEROME's leadership extends beyond
financial metrics. The groundbreaking construction project of the North West Customs Sector headquarters in Bamenda is a visible tangible sign to his
vision.
    Launched on the 24th of January 2024 during the visit of the Minister of Finance, Louis Paul MOTAZE, this flagship endeavor symbolizes the government's recognition of the sector's exceptional accomplishments under Chief EPIE JEROME's guidance. 
   Acknowledged by regional authorities, including the Governor, the Director General of Customs, and the Minister of Finance, Chief EPIE JEROME's tenure has ushered in a new era of prosperity for the North West Customs Sector. His strategic acumen has set a new standard for operational excellence within the Regional Customs unit.
