South West: Renowned Businessman Etake Divine Honored for Empowering Cocoa Farmers

Etake Divine Ngaaje, Country Director of Agro-produce Management Services (AMS) Ltd, a Tiko-based cocoa exporting company, has been honored with the Courageous Man Prize at the 5th season of the Grass2Grace Humanitarian awards. The recognition acknowledges his outstanding contributions to promoting sustainable agriculture and combating unemployment in Cameroon.

The award ceremony, held on March 22, highlighted Etake Divine's empowerment of cocoa farmers across the country. As a philanthropist, Minister of the Gospel, and successful businessman, Etake Divine has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to social responsibility.

HRM Chief Fotang Thomas, CEO of the G2G Humanitarian Organisation and Goodwill Ambassador of the United Nations CISRI to Cameroon, praised Etake Divine as a "nation builder and community developer." During the ceremony, Chief Fotang Thomas presented Etake Divine with a Humanitarian badge, a silver muffler, a sculptured glass medal, and a framed certificate of accomplishment.

Overwhelmed with joy, Etake Divine dedicated the award to God, his staff, cocoa farmers, and other stakeholders. He reiterated his commitment to rewarding cocoa farmers with bonuses and providing training on best practices.

As Country Manager of AMS Ltd, Etake Divine has played a pivotal role in the company's growth and success. AMS Ltd has expanded from 400 farmers to over 10,000, paid over FCFA 3.5 billion in bonuses, exported over 100,000 tons of certified cocoa beans, and trained over 15,000 cocoa farmers on sustainable practices.

Etake Divine's leadership has earned him numerous accolades, including an award for excellence in managerial expertise and stewardship in the cocoa sector. AMS Ltd was also recognized as the best leader in sustainable cocoa production in 2023.

The company's operations span across several divisions in Cameroon, including Fako, Meme, Upper Sanaga, and Sanaga Maritime. Etake Divine's commitment to ethical farming practices and his dedication to empowering cocoa farmers have been instrumental in AMS Ltd's achievements.
