The declaration was made during a heavily attended campaign launch on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at the Fundong Council Chambers. “Biya Remains the Only Choice” – Mayor Ndang Declares

Addressing the enthusiastic crowd, Mayor Denis Awoh Ndang outlined four key reasons why the CPDM remains unchallenged in Boyo Division. He dismissed opposition parties as weak, fragmented, and disconnected from the realities of governance.

“There is no opposition party that is valid and visible in Fundong,” Ndang said. “Since 1992, when the SDF last managed about 20 percent of the votes, it has never reached that mark again. They are gradually fading away. Can such a party produce a president? The answer is no.”

The Mayor further noted that most opposition parties, despite their public rhetoric, “feed off the same system” and have no credible alternative agenda for the nation. He emphasized that only President Paul Biya and the CPDM have consistently delivered on promises of peace, development, and stability.

“Biya has been a protective cover, providing us with projects and tangible benefits,” he said. “A vote for President Paul Biya is a vote for continuity and for the meaningful development we are already enjoying.”

Massive Turnout Reflects Faith in CPDM

The ceremony brought together hundreds of militants, elites, youth and women’s wings, and sympathizers who came out in their numbers to reaffirm loyalty to the Head of State. The atmosphere was charged with songs of praise, chants of unity, and messages of solidarity, all pointing to one direction unwavering support for the CPDM and President Paul Biya.

Speaking to reporters after the event, Mayor Ndang expressed confidence in the CPDM’s preparedness and the people’s overwhelming support for President Biya.

Mayor Ndang added that Fundong is entering a new era of economic growth, with a focus on tourism, social economy, and electrification.

“Fundong is more beautiful than Switzerland,” he said confidently. “We are only waiting for peace to return fully so that tourists can come and discover this paradise. We’re also working to extend electricity coverage beyond the current 50 percent. With continued lobbying and the support of President Biya, we will get there.”

The CPDM Boyo III campaign launch thus ended on a note of optimism and unity, with the Mayor’s rallying call echoing across Fundong: “A vote for Paul Biya is a vote for peace, progress, and prosperity.”
