MINEPIA North West Delegate Killed in Bamenda

The North West Region is reeling in shock following the brutal killing of Dr. Dasi Walters Geh, the North West Regional Delegate of the Ministry of Livestock, Fisheries and Animal Industries (MINEPIA).

According to information gathered by Laarry Times, Dr. Dasi Walters was abducted earlier on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, in Nkwen, a neighbourhood in Bamenda and was executed the same day. His remains were later dumped at Nko Junction, Mile 4 Nkwen, just beside the Bamenda III Council.

Eyewitnesses say the assailants, whose identities remain unknown, intercepted Dr. Walters’ vehicle and whisked him away in broad daylight. The remains of Dr. Walters have been deposited at the Bamenda Regional Hospital mortuary.

Authorities have yet to issue an official statement regarding the circumstances surrounding the abduction and killing. 

However, local residents and civil servants have expressed outrage and concern over the growing insecurity targeting government officials in the restive North West Region.

Dr. Dasi Walters was widely respected within the livestock and agricultural community for his professionalism and dedication to improving animal production in the region.
