The Momo Divisional Campaign team of the Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement (CPDM) officially launched its regional election campaign on Friday, November 21, 2025. The campaign launch was marked by strong appeals for discipline, unity and overwhelming support for the party’s regional council list ahead of the November 30 polls.

Presiding over the launching ceremony, the Divisional Head of the CPDM in Momo, Her Excellency Justice Mbah Acha Rose, Minister Delegate at the Presidency in charge of Supreme State Audit, delivered a firm and animated address, applauding the massive turnout of councillors while urging them to remain steadfast in their commitment to the party.

Justice Mbah Acha’s Call for Loyalty and Discipline

“If we have come here, we have come here because we are CPDM ardent militants,” she declared, acknowledging councillors who travelled long distances from Njikwa, Batibo, Widikum, Ngie and Mbengwi to attend the divisional launch.

Justice Mbah Acha emphasized that party loyalty must be demonstrated not only through attendance but through action at the polls.

“Your reward is coming. It might not come now, but keep it up,” she assured the councillors, stressing that although she may not have all the powers to deliver immediate rewards, commitment would inevitably be recognized.

She reminded councillors that 2025 will be decisive, with several elections ahead including parliamentary, mayoral and council elections, warning them against expecting support from colleagues whose own candidacies they fail to back.

“Do to others as you want others to do to you,” she said. “If you vote for them, the time is coming when they will also vote for you.”
The senior party official insisted on truth, integrity, peace, and development as expected values of every councillor, adding that the party would no longer tolerate “borderline” behaviour from members.

Before closing her speech, she announced that she would meet each council individually for candid discussions. “I like frank talk. If you don't talk frankly here, don't come back to call me,” she said, noting that disagreements were natural but resolvable: “Even between husband and wife, there can be problems… People disagree to agree.”

Interview: “A Hundred Percent Vote”

Speaking shortly after her address, Justice Mbah Acha Rose expressed confidence in the councillors’ commitment:
“One main expectation: a hundred percent vote,” she said. “They are councillors, not just ordinary militants. The national president is counting on them.”

She praised the turnout and encouraged councillors to honour their “legal right” by voting massively on November 30, insisting that “their names will go down in history” for supporting the 2025 Regional Assembly.

Mayors Reaffirm Full Backing for CPDM List

The campaign launch saw strong declarations from mayors across the division, each reaffirming loyalty to the party and readiness for the polls.
       Acha Kenedy, Mayor of Batibo.

Batibo Mayor, Acha Kenedy Akam, said councillors were fully aligned with party doctrine: “They have been vibrating in unison to the rhythm of the occasion… They shall vote 100 percent for the candidates chosen by the party.”
     Andoh Stanislaus, Mayor of Widikum.

Widikum Mayor, Andoh Stanislaus, highlighted the resilience of his delegation: “We were the highest with 20 councillors present. On November 30, we will be present in Mbengwi to concretize and vote. I have no fear of absenteeism.”

Andek Mayor, Ubangoh Helly, acknowledged past instances of disloyal voting but assured that this time would be different: “We are doing everything to make sure no ballot goes to any opposition party… It’s only the CPDM running, so that problem is rolled out.”
Akebe Angwa Emmanuel, Mayor of Njikwa.

Njikwa Mayor, Akebe Angwa Emmanuel, spoke proudly of the council’s achievements and its strong CPDM identity: “Njikwa is a traditional home for the CPDM. Nearly all our villages were touched by projects under this mandate. Our councillors are intellectuals; we don’t need to educate them on elections.”

Njikwa registered 18 out of 20 active councillors at the launch, a turnout the mayor said foreshadowed full participation on November 30.

The Candidates: Momo’s Eight Divisional Representatives

The Momo Division will be represented in the regional race by Njoh Oliver Anoh, Mbah Satu, Tibi Stanley Chick, Prof. Abyambod Emmanuel, Beckley Adamu Philomena, Ujambeng Stephen Andong, Abi Charles Fon, and Ashu Atambum.

The list received unanimous support from all council delegations present.

A Determined Division Ahead of November 30

Friday’s launching ceremony demonstrated a unified CPDM structure in Momo Division, with councillors and mayors echoing the central message: Vote massively, vote loyally, vote CPDM.

As the region moves toward the November 30 regional elections, Momo Division enters the race with a mobilized council base, clear directives from party leadership, and a shared commitment to delivering a unanimous result for the ruling party.
