The Website Media Group has conferred its prestigious Exemplary Award on Nchofon Mingoh, Assistant Divisional Officer (ADO) of Bamenda I Subdivision, in recognition of his outstanding commitment to transparent governance, accountability, and people-centred public service.
The award ceremony that took place at the North West Office for the Emergency Humanitarian Assistance Plan brought together administrators, humanitarian stakeholders, media professionals, and members of civil society.
The distinction forms part of activities marking the 15th anniversary of The Website Newspaper, a leading media platform known for promoting good governance and social justice.
Nchofon Mingoh, a Senior Executive Officer who also serves as the Regional Coordinator for the Government Emergency Humanitarian Assistance Plan, was celebrated for his exceptional resilience and prudent management of public resources, particularly in a region grappling with humanitarian and security challenges.
According to the citation read during the ceremony, the award recognizes Nchofon Mingoh as “an outstanding transparent and accountable administrator with a heart for the people.”
The Website Media Group commended his dedication to ensuring that emergency humanitarian assistance reaches the most vulnerable populations, including internally displaced persons and other less privileged groups.
The citation further noted that his “tenacious management gives hope, thus contributing towards peace and a stable society,” underscoring the vital role effective local administration plays in fostering social cohesion and trust in public institutions.
Speaking on behalf of the Award Committee, Ta Nformi Ignatius Nji, practising with the Eden Newspaper, praised the honouree’s leadership style, describing it as principled, inclusive, and impact-driven. He emphasized that the award reflects the media’s responsibility to spotlight public servants whose actions inspire confidence and promote the common good.
Chifu George Ndi, Publisher and Editor of The Website Newspaper, highlighted that the recognition aligns with the newspaper’s anniversary theme of celebrating integrity and resilience in public service.
