Prominent media professional and football administrator Ndi Tsembom Elvis Junior has successfully defended his Master’s thesis at the University of Bamenda, earning an “Excellent” grade after a rigorous academic evaluation.

The defense, which lasted one hour and ten minutes, took place on Tuesday May 5, 2026, at the Faculty of Law and Political Science, within the Department of International Relations and Strategic Studies.

According to sources present, the session involved an intensive review by a panel of academic jurors, who ultimately commended the quality and relevance of the research.

Ndi Elvis’s thesis, titled “Public Perspectives on Aid Mobilization: The Influence of Media Narratives During the Israel-Gaza War,” examines how media framing shapes public opinion and international responses to humanitarian crises. The study focuses on the intersection of communication, global conflict, and aid dynamics, an area of increasing importance in contemporary international relations.

Beyond academia, Ndi Elvis is widely known in Cameroon’s media and sports sectors.

He serves as Publisher of Observer237, a media outlet, and holds the position of Secretary General of FECAFOOT North West. He is also a former president of the Cameroon Association of English-Speaking Journalists (CAMASEJ) in Bamenda.

Colleagues and peers have praised the achievement, noting his ability to balance professional responsibilities with academic pursuits.

Observers say his research could contribute to ongoing debates about the role of media in shaping narratives during global conflicts. The University of Bamenda, one of Cameroon’s leading state-owned higher education institutions, continues to produce graduates contributing to research and policy discussions both nationally and internationally.

Ndi Elvis’s success highlights the growing importance of interdisciplinary studies that bridge media, politics, and international affairs in addressing complex global challenges.
