Cameroonian business leader and philanthropist Tantoh Edison Fru Ndi has been honoured with the Global Youth Award 2026 for his contribution to community development, youth empowerment, and social impact.
Kanjo Elvis, received the award on behalf of Tantoh Edison Fru Ndi, the Regional Delegate of the Chamber of Commerce for the North West, CEO of Dreamland Connect, businessman, and philanthropist, on August 12, 2026, in Kathmandu, Nepal.
The recognition came during the Global Youth Leaders Conference and Youth Awards 2026, held at Hotel Manang from Tuesday, August 11, to Thursday, August 14, 2026. The event coincided with International Youth Day, an occasion that draws global attention to the role of young people in shaping society and the future.
Tantoh Edison Fru Ndi was recognized in the Social Impact category for what the award citation describes as “championing community development, empowering lives, and creating lasting positive change.”
He received both a trophy and a framed certificate during the ceremony organized by Human Harmony Nepal, a nonprofit established in 2017 under its Manav Sadbhawana Nepal mission.
For Fru Ndi, the honour represents more than a personal achievement.
In his acceptance remarks, he described himself as deeply humbled and sincerely honoured, dedicating the recognition to God and to the people of Cameroon, whose support, he said, has been part of his journey.
He then turned his attention to the country's young people. Tantoh Edison Fru Ndi urged Cameroonian youths not to allow difficult circumstances to dictate what they can achieve. He called on them to embrace discipline, acquire useful skills, and make a start with whatever resources and opportunities are available to them.
His message was one of persistence and personal responsibility. He stressed that meaningful success is often built gradually, through consistent effort, experience, and the ability to learn from setbacks.
The message also reflects the focus of the conference, which was held under the theme “Empowering Youth, Shaping Tomorrow.” The gathering brought together young leaders and social-impact personalities from different countries to recognize initiatives aimed at improving communities and creating opportunities for others.
Fru Ndi's recognition in Kathmandu adds an international dimension to his work in Cameroon, where his activities span business, philanthropy, community development, and youth advocacy.
As Regional Delegate of the Chamber of Commerce for the North West and CEO of Dreamland Connect, he has maintained a profile that combines entrepreneurship with community-oriented initiatives. His philanthropic activities have also contributed to his engagement with people and communities beyond the corporate environment.
The Global Youth Award therefore places his work within a broader international conversation about the role of young leaders, entrepreneurs, and community builders in addressing social challenges.
In his closing message, he encouraged young Cameroonians to believe in their potential and understand that their contributions can make a difference, regardless of where they begin. He said he remains committed to promoting courage, unity, and purposeful action in the pursuit of a more peaceful, prosperous, and hopeful Cameroon.
The Kathmandu award may mark another milestone in his journey, but Fru Ndi presented it as a renewed responsibility, an encouragement to continue serving, creating opportunities, and inspiring others to take action.
