TAKAD International President Hercules Nse Souala has launched the Cameroon leg of his CEMAC tour, calling on Africans to remain united, focused, and committed to producing results that can drive the continent forward.
Nse Souala is travelling with TAKAD Honorary President Queen Eteme as the organization expands its continental engagements and promotes its vision of celebrating African achievement.
During an appearance on Suellaba Feeling, Nse Souala spoke about the importance of recognizing Africans who are making a difference in business, culture, leadership, innovation, and other sectors.
In an interview with award-winning senior reporter Amy Banda, he said celebrating African excellence should go beyond ceremonies and awards. He described it as part of a broader effort to change the narrative about Africa and give greater visibility to the people contributing to the continent's development.
For Nse Souala, Africa's global image should not be defined solely by its challenges. He believes the continent's story must also highlight its resilience, creativity, talent, and growing capacity to produce solutions.
That philosophy is central to TAKAD's campaign to rewrite the African narrative and challenge outdated stereotypes.
The organization is also preparing to profile 100 personalities in Focus Magazine, recognizing individuals whose work is contributing to Africa's progress.
Honouring African achievers
Nse Souala also acknowledged the contribution of former Cameroon captain Samuel Eto'o, urging Cameroonians to recognise the sacrifices he has made for the country and African football.
His comments came shortly after Eto'o returned from Morocco following the historic WAFCON triumph by Cameroon's Indomitable Lionesses. Eto'o was previously honoured during TAKAD 6 in Côte d'Ivoire.
The Cameroon tour has meanwhile opened doors for discussions with government, media and economic stakeholders.
Banda accompanied the TAKAD president to a meeting with Olivier Kingue Molli, Acting Regional Director of CRTV Littoral and CEO of Forum Économique.
Their discussions focused on economic opportunities and possible future engagements before the TAKAD delegation proceeds to Equatorial Guinea.
The delegation also met Lynda Noutcha, Station Manager of CRTV Sports and Entertainment and CRTV Metro. The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange ideas around TAKAD's continental mission, with Queen Eteme reportedly promising a private musical performance for Noutcha.
The team was subsequently received by Samuel Dieudonné Ivaha Diboua, Governor of the Littoral Region, who welcomed the initiative and praised its continental outlook.
Nse Souala also held talks with Clément Tchoante, publisher of Challenge International, as part of efforts to strengthen professional and institutional connections.
The day's program ended with the arrival of Lassane Oularé, TAKAD Vice-President from Côte d'Ivoire, who joined the delegation in Cameroon.
Inspiring Africa's next generation
The CEMAC tour continues with scheduled stops at Dash TV and DBS.
TAKAD says the broader objective is to inspire young Africans to believe in their abilities, develop practical solutions and pursue opportunities in both local and international markets.
The organization also wants to build stronger links between Africans on the continent and those in the diaspora, using shared achievements as a platform for collaboration.
For Nse Souala and his team, the message is straightforward: African excellence must be recognised, African confidence must be strengthened, and African success must be turned into a force for greater economic and social progress.
