Justice Mbah Acha Rose Fomundam, Minister Delegate at the Presidency in charge of the Supreme State Audit and President of the Budgetary and Financial Discipline Council, has summoned nine mayors and an ex-mayor to appear before the Council in Yaoundé.
The summons is contained in a press release issued by the Permanent Secretariat of the Budgetary and Financial Discipline Council and signed on September 7, 2026.
The municipal executives have been instructed to report to the Supreme State Audit Office, Building B, second floor, Room B203, opposite the Administrative Court, immediately upon publication of the communiqué.
The officials summoned are Dr. Noah Vincent de Paul, Mayor of Okola, Ipoua Robert Olivier, Mayor of Campo, Eto Romain Roland, Mayor of Nanga Eboko, Akono Alinga André, Mayor of Awaé, Njatou Ngadep Rémi, former Mayor of Makenene, Ebwea Pierre Honoré, Mayor of Mouanko, Manfo Songong Jean René, Mayor of Penja, Njoya Inoussa, Mayor of Foumbot, and Manfred Njecacal, Mayor of Dibamba.
The communiqué describes the matters concerning the officials as “very urgent" but does not disclose the specific issues prompting their summons.
The appearance before the Budgetary and Financial Discipline Council comes within the mandate of the Supreme State Audit Office to examine financial and budgetary management by public officials and local authorities.
