The North West Regional Head of the Cameroon Renaissance Movement (CRM), Moritz Kube, has urged party militants and sympathizers to remain cautious about the ongoing community dialogue initiative in Cameroon’s North West and South West Regions, describing it as a political strategy aimed at benefiting the ruling Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement (CPDM) ahead of upcoming elections.
In a message addressed to CRM supporters on Sunday, October 18, 2026, in Bamenda, the CRM regional chieftain questioned the intentions behind the dialogue process, arguing that it was designed to help the ruling party strengthen its grassroots presence and improve its electoral prospects.
According to him, the initiative could be used to establish direct contact with local communities and influence voters ahead of the polls. He alleged that the exercise would involve CPDM militants at divisional and sub-divisional levels, including some traditional rulers, administrative officials and religious leaders whom he accused of supporting the ruling party.
Kube warned CRM militants and sympathizers against being misled by the initiative, insisting that they should remain focused on strengthening their party structures and preparing for the forthcoming elections.
He called on supporters to continue sensitizing communities about the party’s positions while quietly building their respective council and parliamentary candidate lists well ahead of the electoral period.
The CRM regional head stressed the need for discretion and early preparation, urging militants to carry out their political activities without unnecessary publicity.
