For the DMF chief executive, the training builds on her experience in humanitarian action and community development through the Denis Miki Foundation, where she has championed women's empowerment, youth development and support for vulnerable communities.
It also provides her with additional expertise to engage in structured mediation processes beyond her established grassroots work. Women's participation in peace and security was another major focus. Through discussions on the Women, Peace and Security agenda, participants examined ways to strengthen women's influence in conflict prevention, mediation and formal peace negotiations.
