Cameroonian development advocate Tantoh Edison Fru Ndi has earned international recognition after receiving the Global Changemakers Award at a ceremony in Nairobi, Kenya, placing his community development initiatives in the international spotlight.
The widely respected Cameroonian, in terms of contract deadline and excellent work execution, received the honour on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, during the 7th Global Changemakers Award ceremony organized by Project 100.
The recognition acknowledges his contribution to social impact, particularly his involvement in initiatives that improve community welfare and create opportunities for young people in Cameroon.
His projects include the Mutan Market project and the renovation of Campus C at Government Bilingual High School (GBHS) Bamenda. These interventions, together with other humanitarian activities across the North West Region, form part of his efforts to support local development.
The award certificate, bearing Registration No. 6892/2019, was signed by Project 100 Chairman, His Excellency George Mkondiwa, and Dominic Iuramba, Director of Global Appeal Agency.
Mkondiwa previously served as Malawi's Ambassador to the United States and High Commissioner to India. He is also Vice President for Africa at the Cabinet Government Network. Iuramba serves as a board member and Director of Communication Regulation in Kenya.
Edison Fru Ndi currently serves as the North West Regional Delegate of the Chamber of Commerce, alongside his engagement in social and humanitarian initiatives.
His recognition comes at a time when community-led interventions are increasingly important in addressing local development challenges, particularly in areas where young people need greater access to opportunities, education and economic empowerment.
For the North West Region, the award provides international visibility to development initiatives emerging from the region and places Fru Ndi among Cameroonians receiving recognition for their contributions to social change.
The honour also adds to his growing profile in community development and provides further encouragement for initiatives that seek to translate social commitment into practical benefits for communities.
